Blues BucksMEMBERSHIP 2027
Blues Bucks Membership 2027

Terms and conditions

A Blues Bucks Membership package from Kilmore Football Netball Club, with free entry to the weekly members' draw, a trade promotion lottery run by the club.

1. What this is

1.1Blues Bucks Membership is a membership product of Kilmore Football Club Inc. (known as Kilmore Football Netball Club), ABN [ABN], of [club postal address] (the Club).

1.2Every Blues Bucks Membership comes with free entry to the Blues Bucks members' draw. The draw is a trade promotion lottery under the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (Vic) and the Gambling Regulations 2026, run by the Club to promote its memberships and its community purpose.

1.3The draw is not a raffle or a lottery ticket. Draw entries are not sold, cannot be bought separately from a membership, and cost nothing. The price is the price of the membership.

2. What you buy

2.1A Blues Bucks Membership Package (the Membership Package) includes:

  • (a) a 2027 social membership of the Club for a person you name (the Member); and
  • (b) an invitation to the Club's 2027 sponsors' day; and
  • (c) as a free benefit, one Blues Bucks number, which enters the weekly members' draw while the Membership Package is financial.

2.2Draw entry is free for Membership Package holders. It is not sold and has no price of its own.

2.3Price, including GST:

  • (a) Weekly: $5.00 per week for 45 weeks, charged to a debit or credit card; or
  • (b) Upfront: $225.00 in one payment.

2.4There are no fees or surcharges on top of the price, whichever way you pay.

2.5Joining late. If you join after Week 1:

  • (a) up to and including Week 31, you pay for the remaining weeks only, weekly or upfront; and
  • (b) from Week 32, the Membership Package is $70.00 paid upfront.

You enter only the draws held after your Membership Package starts. Earlier draws are not replayed.

2.6There are 100 numbers. The Purchaser chooses each Membership Package's number when they buy it. When they are all taken, Membership Packages are sold out.

2.7Memberships and sponsors' day invitations are issued before Round 1 of the 2027 season.

3. Who can buy

3.1The person who buys a Membership Package (the Purchaser) must be 18 or older and have an Australian bank account to receive prizes.

3.2A Purchaser may buy more than one Membership Package. Each Membership Package has its own number.

3.3The Purchaser holds every number they buy and receives every prize won by those numbers. For each Membership Package, the Purchaser names a Member, who may be the Purchaser or someone else. The Member receives the membership and the sponsors' day invitation, but not the prize.

3.4Membership is subject to the Club's rules (the Model Rules under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012). The Member must agree to become a member.

3.5Numbers cannot be sold or transferred to another Purchaser without the Club's written approval.

4. Draw period

4.1Blues Bucks runs for 45 weeks, from Week 1, the first night of the Club's 2027 pre-season ([date]), to the final draw in the week of the 2027 AFL Grand Final ([date]).

4.2Each weekly draw closes at 5:00 pm on the Wednesday of that week (the Cut-off). Each week's Cut-off is that draw's closing date.

5. Staying financial

5.1A Membership Package is financial for a draw if every instalment due on or before that draw's Cut-off has been paid. Upfront Membership Packages are always financial.

5.2Weekly instalments are charged to the Purchaser's card each Monday. Purchasers can update their card at any time through the payment page the Club provides.

5.3If an instalment fails:

  • (a) the Club tells the Purchaser and records one strike;
  • (b) the missed instalment is still owed. The Purchaser is expected to catch up by paying every missed instalment;
  • (c) the Membership Package is not in any draw while any instalment is unpaid at a Cut-off; and
  • (d) once everything owed is paid, the Membership Package is back in from the next Cut-off. If the Purchaser catches up before 5:00 pm Wednesday in the same week, the Membership Package is in that week's draw. The strike stays on the record.

5.4Draws missed while behind are gone. By buying a Membership Package, the Purchaser accepts that a Membership Package which is behind at a Cut-off is not in that week's draw, and that catching up later does not put it back into draws already held. Missed draws are not replayed and are not refunded.

5.5The Club pays any fee its payment provider charges for a failed payment. The Purchaser is not charged for it.

5.6Where one payment covers several Membership Packages, a failed payment is a strike against each of them.

5.7Three strikes. On the third strike the Club may cancel the Membership Package. Until the Club decides, instalments keep being charged, and the Membership Package is in each draw it is paid up for under clause 5.3. If the Purchaser pays every missed instalment before the Club decides, the Membership Package continues; its strikes still count. If the Club cancels the Membership Package, its number is released, the Member keeps the 2027 membership, and the Membership Package loses the sponsors' day invitation and any further draws. Amounts already paid are not refunded, and no further instalments are charged.

5.8A Purchaser may cancel at any time by telling the Club in writing. The Club then cancels the Membership Package, with the effects set out in the last two sentences of clause 5.7.

5.9The Club's payment records at the Cut-off decide whether a Membership Package is in that draw. If a payment recorded as paid is later reversed, a prize already won by that number is still paid.

6. The draw

6.1Each draw is held on Thursday at [time] at [place, e.g. the Kilmore clubrooms, JJ Clancy Reserve]. If the Club cannot draw on Thursday, it draws on the Friday of the same week and says so before the Cut-off. Any other change of time or place is announced at least 7 days ahead.

6.2Only numbers whose Membership Packages are financial at the Cut-off go into the draw. Each one has an equal and random chance of being drawn. The draw uses a barrel of numbered balls, one ball for each number in the draw, and is conducted by a committee member in front of a witness who is not conducting the draw.

6.3Each draw is filmed from start to finish by the witness, who states the week and date on the video; the video shows the ball being drawn and its number. The video is published with that week's result on the Blues Bucks results page.

6.4One number is drawn each week. The winning Purchaser receives the prize. Because only eligible numbers are drawn, there is a winner every week.

6.5You do not have to be at the draw to win.

7. Prizes

7.1The prize each week is $200 cash, paid by bank transfer to the winning Purchaser.

7.2The Club notifies the winner in writing (email or SMS) within [2] business days of the draw and pays the prize within 28 days of the draw. The Club aims to pay within 7 days.

7.3Winners pay nothing to accept a prize.

7.4A number can win more than once over the season.

7.5Prizes cannot be swapped for another prize unless the winner and the Club agree in writing and the substitute is worth the same or more.

7.6If the Club cannot identify or contact a winner after reasonable efforts over [28] days, the Club may draw another number for that prize under the same rules. The new number replaces the original winner for that prize.

8. Publishing winners

8.1Each week's winning number, and the winner's first name and surname initial, are published on the Club's Facebook page and at the Blues Bucks results page [web address] within [7] days of the draw and remain there for at least 28 days. By entering, Purchasers agree to this.

9. Your information

9.1The Club collects Purchaser and Member details (name, contact details, payment and bank details) to run Blues Bucks, pay prizes and keep the records the law requires.

9.2The Club will also use these details to:

  • (a) manage the Member's Club membership; and
  • (b) send Club news and event information. You can opt out of these at any time.

9.3The Club will not use the details for any other purpose and will not give them to sponsors or anyone else, except its payment provider (Stripe) to process payments, or where the law requires.

10. Records

10.1The Club keeps records of every Membership Package, payment, entry, draw and prize for 3 years after the final draw.

11. General

11.1If the Club cannot continue Blues Bucks because of a change in the law or a direction from a regulator, it will notify Purchasers. Weekly instalments then stop and Members keep their memberships. Any draws already held stand.

11.2These terms are published at [kilmorefnc.com.au/blues-bucks]. The Club will not change them during the season except where clause 11.1 applies, or to correct an obvious error that does not disadvantage any Purchaser.

11.3Questions: [treasurer email], Kilmore Football Club Inc.
